Haiti is still the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Aside from natural disasters, the country is a victim of all types of calamities. The destitute and deprived children of Haiti can find refuge if education is accessible.

"The internet can be used as a platform to promote education in Haiti" said 'Oreste Antoine', attorney, preacher and founder of 'Les Nantis du Savoir' a kindergarten, primary and secondary school located in Croix- des- Bouquets, the Western Department of Haiti. Esq. Oreste Antoine is a preacher of the Church of Christ and has been doing missionary work since 1989 .

Most of the children who are attending 'Les Nantis du Savoir' live in extreme poverty. Parents have difficulties providing a hot meal for the day. Due to lack of tuition payments the school has not been able to keep up with repairs and reconstruction.

Pre-fabricated housing made to last 3 years. The wooden frames will no longer withstand severe weather conditions. 'Les Nantis du Savoir' school will have to close its doors if the parents of students are not able to pay the annual tuitions.

For a very long time my country has been suffering from political, economic and social setbacks. Adding to disaster, the earthquake reduced most of the schools in Haiti to rubble. As a result, children were traumatized by the lost of their homes and family.

As a Christian, Attorney and Preacher of the Church of Christ, I felt obligated to help feed and continue educating children in my community.

Some members of my church were teachers and had lost their jobs due to the earthquake. For months children could not attend school in my community. I knew most of the children were very poor and could not afford tuition. I had to do something. All odds were against us. Most of the international aids that arrived were concentrated on helping people situated in Port-au-Prince.

Our school, Les Nantis du Savoir is on the outskirts of the major City. We were fortunate to receive a donation from Estes Church of Christ which gave us prefabricated homes for feeding and tutoring children in the community. Almost a decade has gone by but we still have not made any major changes since 2013.
