Welcome! Please take a moment to read about my unique journey to yoga and how I carry these experiences with me in order to provide a one-of-a-kind meditative and holistic yoga practice for my students.
I began practicing Bikram yoga at age 14 and have explored many various styles of yoga since then. My classes tend to center on breath awareness and control and may include a Vinyasa flow, emphasizing using the core for stability and balance. I value the meditative aspect of yoga and do my best to provide a space for students to release pent up tensions and stress from the body and mind.
In addition to my passion for yoga, I have a Masters' of Social Work from Portland State University and carry the values of the social work profession with me into each space I have the honor of teaching in. This is apparent through my consistent goal to create an environment that is welcoming for all humans, judgment-free, and focused on inclusion and the understanding that we are all at different points on our journeys, on the mat and off.
Lastly, I am also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and offer private 1:1 and small group personal training sessions tailored to individual goals and abilities. All levels are welcome. As a longtime runner, competitive cyclist, and recreational weight lifter, I value a well-rounded approach to health and fitness that encompasses cardiovascular and muscular strength and fitness in addition to flexibility, breath control, and emotional/spiritual wellness.
