Started by Hailey when she was 12 years old, Cookies for a Cause is a fundraising initiative with a history of raising money for local charities. Now that Hailey is grown and busy with work and school, her mother is continuing the fundraising efforts.
Hailey was motivated to start this fundraiser by her desire to help her father. With Hailey’s help all of the funds have been raised to train her father’s Service Dog to help manage the challenges he faces due to PTSD.
Hailey started selling dog biscuits in April of 2018. Less then a month later she has raised over $500 towards her father’s Service Dog’s training and by mid July she had raised over $3000. Such an impressive accomplishment from an equally impressive young girl.
With fundraising for her father’s Service Dog complete Hailey choose to continue fundraising for local charities she is passionate about. To date she has raised over $4000 for local charities. Some of the charities include; Family Transition Place, The Orangeville Food Bank, and The Orangeville branch of the OSPCA. Hailey raised money to purchase and pay for the training of her own Service Dog.
