Haicheng Jiang holds a BSc in Economics (2009-2013) and MRes in Quantitative Economics (2013-2016), both from Northeast Normal University. During his master, he also obtained a MSc in Economics and Public Policy (2014-2015) with Distinction in University of Bristol. He is currently a PhD candidate in Economics at Queen's Management School, sponsored by China Scholarship Council and Queen's University Belfast.
Haicheng's research interests encompass diverse topics in the areas of development economics and political economy, with special focus on African cases. Currently, he is working on the relationship between culture, institutions and long-run economic growth in Africa. Additionally, Haicheng is also interested in structural change in developing countries.
