About
Cognitive Machine Intelligence is a Stanford HAI (Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence)-sponsored student affinity group and dedicated research community. We focus on understanding what cognitive capabilities AI systems still lack, and how we can unlock these capacities in machines to teach them to learn and think in performing tasks across, but not limited to: (i) logical reasoning, (ii) physical understanding, (iii) planning, (iv) motor control, and others. The group is currently led by Tasha Kim and Julian Quevedo, and our faculty mentor is Nick Haber.
