Team Lead: The Team Lead will oversee the coordination of the Emergency Vehicle Access activity. This role involves organizing participation, ensuring safety, and facilitating educational interactions.
Team members: These team members will reach out to organizations with emergency response vehicles, explain the activity's details, and coordinate their involvement. These team members will manage the logistics of vehicle arrival, parking, and positioning at the event site. Team members will oversee the activity on-site, guiding students to and from the emergency vehicle area, and facilitating interactions between students and vehicle operators. These team members will ensure that safety measures are followed during the activity and communicate safety guidelines to students. Team members will work with vehicle operators to ensure that students receive informative insights into the role of GIS in emergency response.

The Workshops Coordinating Team plays a vital role in organizing and facilitating the various workshops during the Houston Area GIS Day event. As part of this team, you will be responsible for coordinating the workshops led by representatives from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) and Esri, as well as the GeoCareers Networking Spectacular.
As a member of the Workshops Coordinating Team, your responsibilities will include:
Inviting Workshop Participants: Actively reach out to representatives from GISCI and Esri, extending invitations for them to host workshops about the GIS Professional certification process and the various ArcGIS certifications, respectively.
Table Setup Coordination: Collaborate with the event logistics team to ensure that each workshop has the necessary audiovisual setup, including projectors, microphones, and virtual streaming capabilities.
Workshop Attendee Invitations: Extend invitations to professionals, managers, supervisors, and hiring personnel in the geospatial industry, inviting them to participate in the GeoCareers Networking Spectacular workshop.
Facilitating Networking: Create an inclusive and welcoming environment during the GeoCareers Networking Spectacular, encouraging productive interactions between job seekers and geospatial professionals.
Workshop Scheduling: Develop a well-organized schedule for the workshops, ensuring that they run smoothly and are spaced appropriately throughout the event.
Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication with workshop presenters, attendees, and the event organizing team to ensure seamless coordination.
Team Lead: The Team Lead will oversee the entire Workshops Coordinating Team and coordinate team members. This role involves effective communication, task delegation, and schedule management.
Team Members: These team members will be responsible for reaching out to representatives from GISCI and Esri, inviting them to host workshops during the event.
Networking Facilitators: These team members will focus on ensuring a positive networking experience during the GeoCareers Networking Spectacular, guiding discussions, and assisting attendees.
Scheduling Coordinators: These team members will create a well-structured schedule for the workshops, ensuring that each session is allocated an appropriate time slot.
