Kidmin Volunteer Training

SATURDAY, Sept. 19//11 a.m. to
1 p.m. in the Fireside Rm.  All workers involved with children's ministries at Highway are asked to attend. Refreshments to be provided. 

Topic: Herding Cats

During this meeting, your team will learn about behavior management through the lens of discipleship. It’s not just about correcting behavior, but helping kids grow in their relationship with Christ. The focus is on making a lasting spiritual impact while guiding our kids.

Chi Alpha News

On Sunday, Sept. 20, our local Chi Alpha from the University of Mary Washington will be sharing in worship, testimony and word during the morning service. Come and see how the Lord is moving on the campus! 

Sponsors Needed for Teens to Attend YouthCon

Currently about 15 youth from Highway are hoping to attend YouthCon—the annual rally event for teens throughout the Potomac Ministry Network—to be held in November.

Some of our youth need financial help in order to attend.  If anyone would like to sponsor a teen to YouthCon (individual registration is $118), please consider making a donation.

Checks can be made payable to Highway Assembly of God; indicate “Youthcon” in the check memo.

Blessing the Teachers & Staff
at Highway Christian Academy

We invite our Highway family to “adopt” a teacher or staff member at Highway Christian Academy by blessing them with small gifts and cards to show them our support and appreciation.

On display in the church foyer are gift bags, each one containing a profile on a teacher—birth date, list of favorites, classroom needs. We invite you to select a teacher’s gift bag. You can return your filled gift bag to the church office, and we will deliver your blessings to the teacher.
