SALT Luncheon
OCTOBER 27 // 11 am in the Fireside Room. We'll have a Baked Potato Bar for lunch and spend time sharing the testimonies of our salvation and God's faithfulness in our lives. ALL senior adults are welcome!
Centerpieces for Highway’s Christmas Dinner
This year, the Women's Ministry will be creating beautiful centerpiece arrangements to decorate each table for our Christmas Dinner. On Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 10 am to 3 pm, we are gathering in the Fireside Room and would love to have you join us! Our goal is to create 20 arrangements! We will have all of the supplies but need your help to create! Lunch will be provided. Please see Charlotte Brooks or Autumn Heflin to sign up to ensure we have enough work spaces available.
Shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child are available in the church foyer. Filled shoeboxes are due by Nov. 19. You also have the option to pack one “on line.” See Rachell Mugele for details.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month
October is the month designated each year as “Pastor Appreciation Month.” And while we are truly thankful for our pastors year-round, this observance provides us with a special opportunity to express our gratitude to them.
To that end, we have provided cards in the church foyer that you are invited to use to write a personal note of appreciation to either or both of our pastors (Mike McDonald and Mike Koehl). You may drop off your thank you cards in the basket in the foyer.
Highway’s Men’s Ministry would like to update our email contact list for men in the church fellowship. We will use email to provide you with information on upcoming events and for important announcements. Please use the sign-up sheet in the church foyer to add your information.
Christmas Ministry Opportunity
Highway has been given the wonderful opportunity to partner with Cambridge Garden Assisted Living to provide Christmas gifts for the residents. For the month of October we are collecting packages of both men's and women's socks (warm fuzzy socks as well), ink pens, and calendars (wall or pocket) for the residents of Cambridge Gardens Assisted Living. You may leave these items in the collection box in the church foyer. Monetary donations are also accepted. Please see Autumn Heflin with any questions.
Currently there are 40 adults who call Cambridge their home. We would like to bless them through donations fulfilling their basic needs. In November, we will wrap the gifts for each resident to open with several items inside.
Food Pantry
If any member of our fellowship has a need for food from our Food Pantry, please contact Claudia Burrell at
