During my SIWES internship, I learnt a lot as a geophysics intern about how geophysics is applied in the oil and gas industry. Using Python, I carried out petrophysical analysis, identifying reservoirs across nine wells and computing quantitative properties for each one. This was supported by correlation, informed by studying a structural map, which guided how I arranged the wells for the analysis and correlation. What stood out most was how much the process built my critical thinking, creative thinking, and analytical skills.
