During my year 1, I started getting into learning more about data visualisation and analytics. I was introduced to some new softwares such as KNIME and POWER BI. I learnt to tell stories by transforming data to create an easier understanding among people. I learnt the importance of removing noise from data and how to well identify outliers, trends and other useful information
Software:
Power BI
KNIME
Using knime and its many functionalities, I managed to perform some data cleaning to a set of data
I've used alot of other datasets to do data analysiation using knime, to brush up my skills and in data analytics and familiarise myself with the different nodes.
After learning more about knime, i moved on to discover and teach myself more about power BI to visualise and beautify data to make it look appeasing and understandable to people. It is essential in sharing insights to others.
This was a power bi work chart that i did using a data set about websites and used the different charts and maps to present the data to others to share insight.
I started exploring more in power bi by using line graphs, pie charts etc. to brush up my skills in power bi.
I also worked on this project which was about a dataset about black friday sales, trends and so on. This was a sample and a part of my project where i used knime to come up with my findings and conclusions about certain trends, myths about the black friday sales. This definitly helped me in further advancing my knime skills
I also used power BI to come up and visualise my findings, trends. I performed alot of data cleaning and even clustering and took the neceassary steps to prepare the data.
Skills;
Python libraries
Pandas, Sckit Learn
Software:
Jupyter notebook
What I've Learnt: To kick start my machine learning journey, I did a lot of research and decided to build a machine learning model that would predict house prices in Perth based on a past dataset. It was a valuable experience as I learnt a lot about supervised learning and machine learning algorithms.
