We all have different blood types but no matter which blood type you have all donations have a great impact on patients in need.

Majority of the population in Jamaica have blood belonging to the O + blood group allowing donations from these donors to help persons belonging to the blood groups AB +, A+, B+ and O+.

Persons who belong to the blood group O - have the greatest impact as anyone can use their donations. Unfortunately, they also have the hardest time in getting blood as they can only receive blood from persons with O- blood.

Persons who belong to the AB+ blood group are universal receivers, as they can receive blood from persons in any blood group.
