Hadwow is one of the most prominent supporters of using science, facts, and data, as one of the determinant factors in any legislation. The GOP have made science controversial in places where data and experts can't spell it out any clearer: Climate change is real.
Hadwow believes in taking transformative measures to transition to more renewable energy, using nuclear energy as a gap-stop. We as a country should leave behind single-use plastics, end the use of fracking, and lead by example on the world stage in minimizing our carbon footprint.
We owe it to our youth to foster an environment where those with the drive and merit seeking higher education have accessibility, regardless of their parent's pay grade. As your Congressman, Hadwow intends to push legislation through the House to help students afford college in a climate where tuition has become simply out of control.
Studies from expert developmental sociologists have shown time and time again that universal Pre-K helps parents work steady jobs, and help middle and low-income children cognitively and socially develop, far exceeding any costs.
Hadwow is no stranger to the discrimination that the LGBT+ community faces, being a member himself. Hadwow said trans rights. The LGBT+ should not and cannot legally be second class citizens, and their constitutional rights must be upheld.
On the other side of the same coin, racial minorities must be just as unequivocally and equally protected. In the wake of police brutality, Hadwow intends to push legislation to end excessive use of force through having states publish data on the use of deadly force by law enforcement, and train police on de-escalation techniques. It is unacceptable that policing has become a fraternized career.
Well, Hadwow is supportive of our current spending on the military, but it can be better. If billions of dollars weren't going toward jets that are both inefficient and not in-use, or toward the NSA treading on the privacy rights of our citizens and allies, and instead on smart military spending, it would be stronger. The problem isn't with our hard working military, it's with out broken budget.
While our military is vast, strong, and unmatched in strength, we should make sure we our spending our money on matters that aren't wasteful. Too often, the nationalist members of Congress fear the concept of decreasing spending in the military but preach the need of a solution to a national deficit.
Hadwow will fight to keep the legal minimum voting age at 18 years old. Protecting the integrity of elections for years to come.
Hadwow believes that in order to protect the rights of its citizens, the U.S. should allow those with a criminal record who have served their time to completion be allowed to run for office.
Meanwhile, the money supporting the finance of compaigns in the United States should come from the United States, and corporate money should ultimately be removed from elections.
