I have been playing field hockey since 2017, and I started club in 2021 at AGH, where I fell in love with the sport. As I continued to play, my skills improved, my confidence strengthened, and my love for field hockey has never stopped growing. The discipline and morals I’ve developed while playing motivate me to do better in all aspects of my life. It was through field hockey that I met my best friends, and looking back at how far I have come, it is truly incredible to see how much I have changed as a person through playing. This sport means the world to me and I can’t imagine my life without it, which motivates me to pursue the opportunity to play in college.
In addition to playing field hockey, I play tennis for school and over the summer. Off the field and the court, I play piano and enjoy giving lessons, and I am passionate about visual arts, including drawing, painting, and mixed media. Academically, I am in two honors classes and two AP’s, with a 3.93 weighted/3.75 unweighted GPA. Some of my favorite subjects are Chemistry and History. Balancing my challenging course load with a demanding athletic schedule has taught me responsibility and time management skills.
An encouraging, close-knit team culture is very important to me in my college athletic experience, and I hope to play at a school that embodies this!
