HACKFEST 2022







Welcome to HACKFEST 2022 šŸŽ‰

GDSC PSB Academy has collaborated with GDSC Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to present HackFest 2022, a competitive event where participating teams will be developing a solution using technologies to solve one or more of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

HackFest 2022 is a celebration of technology, an event designed to encourage innovation in students towards leveraging technology to build hacks that create an impact. This 13-day event will allow participating students to network with industry professionals, gain insights via relevant technical bootcamps and understand the importance of technology in sustainability as they design and build their hacks.

Each team is to be made up of 2 to 4 students. Students from all tertiary institutions in Singapore are welcome.

Registration closes on 16 May 2022, 09:00 AM (SGT).

What are the

Created by the United Nations in 2015, with support from all 193 United Nations Member States, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals aim to end poverty, ensure prosperity, and protect the planet.

Hassan Abid Singapore

Hassan is a passionate Software Engineer with several years of experience in Android and Web development. He is currently based in Singapore, Where he works as CTO for Singapore based company - BeLive Technology. Before that, He lived in Seoul where he worked for NexStreaming Corp. with the NexPlayer SDK team. He worked on KineMaster, an Android Video editing app, in the same company. He loves writing and sharing his experiences about Android development with fellow developers through blogs posts, events and conferences.


Saurabh Arora Singapore

Saurabh is a Google Developer Expert and a Senior Engineer on the Android Team at Twitter, Singapore where he works on both their mobile and TV apps.

Outside of work and meetups, he is a big tennis and cricket fan. He also regularly plays tennis and squash.

Hairizuan Noorazman Singapore

Hairizuan is a DevOps Engineer at Acronis. He is a avid fan of tools and technologies and has dabbled in various programming languages such as Golang, Python and R. He is currently one of the co-organizer for the GDG Cloud Singapore meetup group.


Weiyuan Liu Singapore

Weiyuan is currently the Director of Engineering at ZilLearn. As an engineer, he has worked on the full-stack development of scalable and distributed web applications. He doubles up as a Software Engineer for archipelago.rocks, a classroom tool for teachers to better facilitate teaching for teachers and learning for students, which is supported by NUS and free to use.

Outside of work, Weiyuan serves as a community lead for Big O(n) Development and GDG Cloud Singapore, and hosts events monthly to bi-weekly on cloud technologies and current-day topics. He is also a Google Developer Expert for Google, in cloud technologies, and often blogs and talks about these areas as well.

Richard Lee Taipei, Taiwan

CTO and Co-founder at iCook. Love open source technologies and love Google's product. Sharing at Google community since 2009.

Besides my full-time job, I'm also selected as Google Developer Expert for Firebase, and LINE API Expert. In 2017, I was also listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia. Previously founder of INSIDE, which was acquired by TNL Group in 2018.

Jirawat Karanwittayakarn Bangkok, Thailand

Jirawat is a software developer with over 10 years of experience. He currently works at LINE Thailand, as a Technology Evangelist. Since discovering Firebase, he has spent most of his time learning about Firebase.

He lives in Bangkok, Thailand where he is actively involved in the local Firebase community such as speaking at conferences, writing blog posts and creating code samples all over Thailand. He also founded the largest Thailand Firebase developer group with over 10,000 members.

His passion is to help developers learn and adopt new mobile development methodologies and frameworks like Firebase. While he is not developing, he likes to spend time with his wife and children.

Joshua is a software engineer helping his team build something new in finance and tech. Previously he was building a digital bank in the US connecting people on jobs and services globally on a platform with 40M+ users and connecting Filipinos to their favorite celebrities through live-streaming.
