Hello! Welcome to Hackettstown Psychological Services. I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and to our practice. I am the owner of Hackettstown Psychological Services and have worked within the practice since 2010. I work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families. I am an Adjunct Instructor for the Graduate program at St. Elizabeth University since 2009 and I was an Adjunct Instructor for the Undergraduate program at Centenary University from 2005 until 2010. I have extensive experience working in the field and in the Sussex, Morris, Warren County areas. I began working with children and adults with developmental disabilities in 1999 . From that point forward, I worked at the state level, within a school setting with children and adolescents, as well as, within the criminal justice system, substance use and abuse, and veterans.

Currently, I focus my practice on individuals, couples, and families of all ages that are looking to improve and learn about themselves through unconditional positive regard, empathy, and meeting individualistic, appropriate goals set for themselves each week. I work with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self confidence and general self improvement. I like to learn who you are, see the world through your eyes, and make suggestions that would be applicable to you and your experiences. I participate in most insurance plans with the exception of Medicaid and Medicare. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Welcome to Hackettstown Psychological Services!

I received my BS in Psychology with a Clinical Concentration from Saint Joseph’s University and my MA/Ed.S in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University. I have worked in a non-profit setting for over four years and have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Within these populations I have treated anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, adjustment issues and grief. Additionally, I also have experience working with community resources within the Warren, Sussex and Morris County areas. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Theory and Solution-Focused Therapy, however I believe that therapy should be altered to your individual needs. The most important thing that I value in my work is building a strong working alliance. With that in place, we can work towards your goals each week in a safe, empathetic environment. I’d like to welcome you and congratulate you on choosing change! My name is Jennifer McKeown. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor. Prior to joining this practice I spent many years working as a Certified School Counselor. I have a Bachelors in Psychology from Montclair State University and Masters in Counseling Psychology from Saint Elizabeth University. I am an Adjunct Instructor for Saint Elizabeth University and Southern New Hampshire University. Currently, I am working with children, adolescents and adults. I have experience treating anxiety, grief, depression, ADHD, as well as interpersonal relationship and school adjustment issues. Therapy is a unique process that should be customized to each individual. I will pull from an array of therapeutic modalities with a primary focus on Person Centered Therapy. Creating a safe space and providing unconditional positive regard will be the foundation of our work together. “The good life is a process not a state of being. When you drive down Mountain Ave and pass the fast food restaurants and the golf course on the left. You will make your first left onto Edgeview Dr.

If you are coming down from Schooley's Mountain Rd., you will make a right onto Edgeview Dr. after you have passed Heath Village and the plaza with the chocolate and UPS store within it.

Make an immediate left into our parking lot. We are in the brown medical buildings. Park by the mailboxes. The building numbered 486 is in front of you. Enter the left hand side of the building (the 2b side) and go upstairs.

We are looking to grow by adding energetic, passionate NJ licensed Clinicians (LAC, LPC, LMFT, LCSW, PHD, PSYD). We receive referrals from area schools, doctors offices, former clients, insurance companies, EAP programs, etc.

You would be an Independent Contractor that can independently manage your schedule, choose your clients, dictate how you work with each one, and have flexibility to suit your own needs without the full scope of responsibility involved in owning and operating the business on your own. We are looking for people to build their caseload to a part time or full time basis. You will have access to billing services, referrals, supplies, and the opportunity to utilize telemedicine if you don't want to have an office space.

We are looking to add Licensed Clinicians who have experience and/or specialized training in any of the following:

Adults

Couples

Young Children, Adolescents and their families

A trauma specific focus using a variety of modalities

Our practice works with insurance companies. If you are already paneled, that is a plus. Please ONLY apply if you would like to be on insurance panels. Due to the insurance credentialing process, there may be a 3-4 month lag between the time of hiring and the time in which you would begin seeing clients. Due to state regulations, WE ONLY HIRE NJ LICENSED CLINICIANS.
