The aim of this site is to provide hardware developers and tinkerers with access to a diverse variety of very cheap hardware to experiment with. You will find that the prices charged here for hardware are less (sometimes way less) than what you will pay elsewhere for the same new or used equipment.
This site list information about hardware (electronic components, electronic equipment, and mechanical equipment) that I have for sale on Gumtree. This site also provides information on (example projects) where this hardware can be used. It is hoped as you browse through the diverse range of components and equipment that you will be inspired to use what you see in your own projects. Maybe even in novel new ways.
Components sold here can be categorized as follows:
New component = Never been used. Almost always in their original packaging.
New, salvaged component = Salvaged from assembled electronics boards that were never sold or used. We have access to such equipment and it would be a terrible shame to not use it; especially if you can get it for a fraction of the original price.
Used, salvaged component = Salvaged from used electronic equipment. This category of components will usually be the more expensive type that can be reliably reused. The used status will be indicated clearly to the buyer.
Electronic and Mechanical equipment sold here can be categorized as follows:
New equipment = Never been used. Almost always in their original packaging. This equipment will only be tested if it is easy to do so.
Used equipment, tested = Used. Tested to verify basic functions.
Used equipment, not tested = Used. Not tested.
