Hack@Code 2025 – LEGO Robotics Challenge
THEME: MISSION BEYOND EARTH, CODING THE FUTURE OF SPACE EXPLORATION
Team SpaceX has successfully established the first permanent research and mining colony on Mars. To ensure the survival and expansion of the colony, autonomous robots have been deployed to recover valuable resources discovered across the Martian landscape. Your mission is to design, build and program an autonomous LEGO robot capable of navigating the Martian terrain, collecting resources, and transporting them safely back to the SpaceX StarBase before the mission timer expires.
The centre two boxes containing the SpaceX logo represent the StarBase:
Mars Operations Centre
Resource Processing Facility
All resources must be delivered into these two boxes
Resource Crates (LEGO Blocks) – 10 blocks representing Iron Ore and Rare Earth Metals.
Martian Energy Cores (100 Plus Cans) – 4 cans located at the Red, Blue, Green and Orange resource zones representing Hydrogen Fuel Cells.
