Beckwith Tech Camp;
#1 - Adrianna - Flying Puppy Game
Love the graphics and the different procedures needed to get to the next level.
#2 - Alexis - Covid Game
This shows creativity in choosing the concept of the game and finding the correct route.
#3 - Bella - Cat Game
LOVE the flying animals at the end!
I appreciated how she explained the process and incorporated music.
#4- Charlotte - Quarantine Time
WOW!!
Incredibly in depth and polished looking with all the links to activities.
The various layers to this presentation and thought that went into this make me think that Charlotte has found her calling!!
#5 - Pandemic 2020
I enjoyed being walked through the steps of making the presentation even though she had troubles saving her work.
Great concepts of information being offered about the pandemic.
#6 - Hope - Quarantine Life 2020
Love the "Crush the Virus" graphic/image.
#7 - Johanna - "Before and After Covid"
The Quiz was a fun idea and I found it interesting to add the links at the end.
#8- Kate Murder Hornets
The 3 in 1 was interesting.
Great game and concept with the graphics, it made me want to play.
#9 - Molly Pick an Animal
Great for younger students!! Love that it incorporates sounds along with movements.
#10 - Tahlia - Australian Fire
LOVE the female firefighter!!
We had all forgotten about the Australian Fire and this was a reminder of what craziness 2020 had been.
Good movements in the presentation.
#11 Sarah - Hamilton - Disney
This makes me want to watch Hamilton, I am now curious to see the Disney movie.
I love the imagery used.
#12- Hallie - The Bunny's Adventure
Simple concept but incredibly effective, having Ruby the bunny gathering things for school.
This would be great for younger students.
#13 - Trivia
Love the Trivia questions (sadly I didn't do very well), great graphics.
Summary:
I am so incredibly impressed with all the presentations by these young women. It is a great example of what is possible with a little instruction in coding. If this is what is possible given a short period of time, imagine what we have to look forward to!
I hope that this experience inspired this group of girls to consider exploring the possibilities available to them in technology. Even the choices or topics chosen by each of them to base their presentations on was thoughtful and interesting. Again, I am so impressed with each of their abilities to create and put together a presentation.
I sincerely hope that these young women recognize the important role technology now plays in our education system more than ever before. If they are able to create and perhaps even support others in their learning to use coding it opens up possibilities for other students as well. We need creative young students, like this group, to help us see the possibilities available in technology and online learning.
Well done ladies, thank you for sharing your work with me.
