Habit Rise ("we", "our", "us") is a habit tracking application that helps users build and maintain healthy habits. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Habit Rise accesses and/or collects the following categories of data, all of which is stored locally on your device only:
Health & Fitness Data: Exercise records, workout counts, daily targets, streak history, habit completion data
Health Metrics: Weight, height, BMI, chest and waist measurements, calories consumed, water intake, sleep hours
Mood & Wellness Data: Daily mood tracking
Nutrition Data: Meal tracking including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack entries with food names, calories, and quantities
Journal Entries: Free-text daily journal notes
Personal Profile Information: Name, date of birth, gender (optionally provided by the user)
App Preferences: Theme settings, notification preferences, widget configurations
All collected data is used solely to:
Display your habit tracking progress, streaks, and statistics
Generate charts, analytics, and achievement progress within the app
Send local notification reminders you have configured
Populate home screen widgets with your habit data
Calculate health metrics such as BMI from weight and height
All data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. No data is transmitted to our servers or any third parties. Your data is retained on your device for as long as you have the app installed and choose to keep it.
You can delete your data at any time through the following methods:
Delete individual records: Remove specific habit entries from the Calendar screen.
Delete individual habits: Remove entire habits and their history from the Manage Habits screen.
Reset all data: Use the "Reset All Data" option in Settings to permanently erase all app data.
Uninstall the app: Removing Habit Rise from your device deletes all locally stored data completely.
Once deleted, data cannot be recovered unless you have previously created a backup.
Users can export their data at any time in multiple formats including Excel, CSV, JSON, and PDF. Users can also create encrypted local backups. Exported files and backups remain entirely under your control and are never uploaded to our servers.
We do not share any of your data with third parties. No data leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share a file using your device's share functionality.
We do not collect:
Usage analytics or telemetry
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Location data
Any data transmitted to external servers
This app uses Google Play Billing for in-app purchases. Google may collect purchase-related data as described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). No other third-party services are used.
This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. All data is stored locally and never transmitted externally.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
