Habit Quest Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 21, 2026
Overview
Habit Quest is a habit tracking app with a virtual pet companion. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.
Data Storage
All of your habit data, pet companion data, game progress, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, your data is synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to us.
We do not operate any servers. We do not collect, store, or have access to any of your data.
HealthKit Data
Habit Quest can optionally read health data from Apple Health, including step count, sleep analysis, water intake, and mindful minutes. This data is used solely to track progress toward your health-related habit goals within the app. HealthKit data is read on-device only and is never stored outside of the app session, transmitted to any server, or shared with any third party.
Notifications
The app may request permission to send local notifications. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and are not powered by any external service.
Data Export
You can export your task and boss data as a CSV file using the in-app export feature. This file is generated locally on your device, and you control where it is shared.
Third-Party Services
Habit Quest does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app does not contain ads.
Children's Privacy
Habit Quest does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
