Moody: Habit & Mood Tracker (“Moody,” the “App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a personal mood, habit, journaling, reminder, and wellness application.
We respect your privacy and understand that mood entries, journal notes, voice recordings, photographs, habit information, and conversations with artificial intelligence features may contain personal or sensitive information. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may collect, how that information is used, when it may be shared with third-party service providers, and the choices available to you.
By installing or using Moody, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where consent is legally required, we will request it before processing the relevant information.
For privacy questions or requests, contact:
Email: elevenfunction@gmail.com
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through Moody: Habit & Mood Tracker, including its:
Mood tracking and mood history features;
Habit creation and habit tracking features;
Journal entries and personal notes;
Mood Map and location-related features;
Photos, profile images, avatars, and media attachments;
Voice notes and microphone-based features;
Reminder and notification features;
Artificial intelligence chat and assistance features;
Advertising;
Analytics, crash reporting, app configuration, and related technical services.
This Privacy Policy does not directly govern third-party websites, applications, platforms, or services that may be linked from or integrated into the App. Those services operate according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Depending on the features you use, you may provide the following information.
You may provide:
A display name;
A selected avatar;
A profile photograph;
Personal preferences;
Reminder preferences;
App appearance or personalization settings.
Unless the App specifically provides an account or cloud synchronization feature, this information is generally stored locally on your device.
The App may allow you to record:
Current mood;
Mood intensity;
Emotional state;
Mood scores;
Wellness scores;
Mood-related activities;
Mood triggers;
Energy or stress levels;
Sleep-related observations;
Custom tags;
Personal reflections.
Mood and wellness information can be sensitive. You are responsible for deciding what information you enter into the App.
You may create journal entries, personal notes, habit reflections, daily summaries, or other written content.
This content may include personal, emotional, health-related, relationship-related, or other sensitive information. Journal content is generally stored locally unless you deliberately send it to an online feature, such as an AI assistant or cloud synchronization feature.
The App may process information about:
Habits you create or select;
Habit completion status;
Habit streaks;
Habit schedules;
Reminder times;
Habit history;
Goals and progress;
Categories, notes, and custom habit names.
When you use a photo-related feature, the App may process:
Photos captured using your camera;
Images selected from your device;
Profile photographs;
Images attached to journal or mood entries.
Photos are not accessed without an action from you and the required Android permission.
Image processing features, such as cropping, resizing, or background removal, may be performed locally where supported. Images will only be sent to an online service when the feature clearly requires online processing or you deliberately share the image through an online feature.
When you activate a voice-related feature, the App may process:
Voice recordings;
Audio notes;
Speech provided to an AI chat feature;
Audio attached to mood or journal entries.
The microphone is only activated after you use a feature that requires audio access and grant the required permission.
Depending on the feature, audio may be stored locally or transmitted to an online service for speech recognition, transcription, AI processing, or another function clearly presented to you.
With your permission, the App may access:
Precise GPS location;
Approximate location;
Latitude and longitude;
Location associated with a mood entry;
Map position and related location metadata.
Location may be used to display your mood entries on a private Mood Map or associate a mood entry with the place where it was created.
The App does not request continuous background-location permission through the permission list described in this policy. Location is accessed only when an applicable feature is active and permission has been granted.
Moody is not a live-tracking, emergency-location, navigation, or safety-monitoring service.
When you use an AI feature, the following information may be processed:
Messages or questions you enter;
Voice-to-text content;
Selected mood or habit context;
Conversation history needed to maintain the current chat;
AI-generated replies;
Technical information necessary to process the request.
The App does not automatically send your complete journal, photo library, microphone recordings, or location history to an AI provider. Only the information required by the selected AI feature, including information you deliberately submit or that the feature clearly identifies as context, should be transmitted.
When you contact us, we may receive:
Your email address;
Your name, if included;
The contents of your message;

Your device security;
Android backup settings;

File-management applications;
Device compromise;
App-data clearing;
App removal;
Device reset.
Deleting the App or clearing its storage will usually delete locally stored App data. However, operating-system backups or manufacturer backups may retain a copy according to your device and account settings.
Moody may use artificial intelligence services provided by OpenAI and Google.
AI responses are automatically generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, outdated, or misleading. AI features are provided for general informational, reflection, journaling, and wellness-support purposes only.
The App may transmit your AI prompt and relevant conversation context to the OpenAI API so that a response can be generated.
OpenAI states that inputs and outputs submitted through its API Platform are not used to train its models by default unless the API organization has expressly opted into data sharing. OpenAI may process data for service delivery, safety, security, abuse detection, legal compliance, and other purposes described in its applicable agreements and policies.
OpenAI resources:
OpenAI’s general consumer Privacy Policy explains that API customer content is governed by the applicable customer agreements rather than the consumer policy alone.
The App may use Google Gemini API to generate AI responses.
Google’s handling of Gemini prompts and responses depends on whether the API is operated as a paid or unpaid service:
Under unpaid Gemini services, Google states that prompts and generated responses may be used to provide, improve, and develop Google products and may be reviewed by human reviewers.
Under paid Gemini services connected to an active billing account, Google states that prompts and responses are not used to improve its products, although limited logging may occur for abuse prevention, safety, legal compliance, and service security.
Google Gemini resources:
Do not submit information to an AI assistant that you would not want processed by an external service provider. Avoid submitting passwords, payment details, government identification numbers, private medical records, or information relating to an immediate emergency.
The App may use Google Play services and Firebase.
Depending on the App version and enabled features, Firebase may be used for:
Analytics;
Crash reporting;
Performance monitoring;
Cloud messaging and notification delivery;
Remote configuration;
App Check;
Authentication;
Cloud Firestore or Realtime Database;
Cloud Storage;
Security and fraud prevention.
Firebase services may process app-instance identifiers, IP addresses, device information, crash details, performance information, notification tokens, configuration-request information, authentication information, and data deliberately stored in an enabled Firebase database or storage service.
Google generally describes itself as a processor or service provider for many Firebase services, although the exact legal role depends on the particular Firebase product.
Firebase and Google resources:
Moody may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or share:
IP address;
General location estimated from IP address;
App launches;
Ad impressions;
Taps and video views;
Diagnostic information;
App performance information;
Android advertising identifier;
App-set identifier;
Other device or account-related identifiers where applicable.
Google states that these categories may be processed for advertising, analytics, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
Depending on your region, consent choices, age, device settings, and applicable law, advertisements may be:
Personalized;
Non-personalized;
Limited;
Contextual or technically delivered.
Where legally required, the App may display a Google consent form before requesting personalized advertising or related storage permissions.
You may be able to manage advertising choices through:
The App’s privacy-options screen, where available;
Google Ad Settings;
Your Android advertising privacy settings;
Resetting or deleting your Android advertising identifier;
Withdrawing consent through the consent form where available.
Google advertising resources:
We do not sell your journal entries, private photographs, voice recordings, or precise location data for money. However, certain advertising-related transfers may legally be classified as “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” under some privacy laws.
If Google Maps or another map provider is enabled, map requests may transmit information such as:
IP address;
Device or app information;
Map position;
Search or map request;
Approximate or precise location when permission is granted.
Map providers process information according to their own policies.
Google Maps-related processing is governed by applicable Google terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
Where an online GIF, sticker, or media-search feature is available, the provider may receive:
Search terms;
IP address;
Device and network information;
Language or regional settings;
Selected GIF or media identifier;
Interaction or sharing events.
The third-party provider’s privacy policy governs its processing.
No GIF or online-media search is performed unless you open or use the relevant feature.
Information may be disclosed to:
We may use service providers for:
AI processing;
Cloud infrastructure;
Analytics;
Crash reporting;
Notifications;
Advertising;
Maps;
Security;
Customer support.
These providers process information according to their own policies, contracts, configurations, and legal obligations.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
Comply with law, regulation, court order, or legal process;
Respond to a lawful government request;
Protect users or the public;
Investigate fraud, misuse, or security incidents;
Enforce applicable terms;
Protect our legal rights.
If the App, its assets, or its operations are sold, merged, reorganized, or transferred, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Information may be shared when you deliberately export, copy, send, back up, or share content using Android or another third-party application.
Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we may rely on:
Consent: For location, camera, microphone, notifications, personalized advertising, and other permission-based processing.
Performance of a service: To provide features you request.
Legitimate interests: To secure, maintain, diagnose, and improve the App, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal obligations: To comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.
Protection of vital interests: In rare situations involving immediate threats to safety, where legally permitted.
You may withdraw consent through the App, Android settings, advertising privacy controls, or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not make prior lawful processing invalid.
Retention depends on the type of information.
Mood records, habits, journal entries, photos, audio, and preferences stored locally remain until you:
Delete the individual item;
Clear App data;
Use an available reset or delete feature;
Uninstall the App;
Reset the device.
Copies may remain in Android, Google, or manufacturer backups according to your backup settings.
AI providers may retain prompts, responses, and technical logs according to their service configuration, agreements, safety requirements, and privacy policies.
Firebase-hosted information, where used, is retained only for the period needed to provide the enabled feature, meet security requirements, resolve disputes, or comply with law. Retention may vary by Firebase product.
Advertising, analytics, diagnostic, and fraud-prevention information may be retained by Google or another provider under its own retention policies.
Support emails may be retained while necessary to address the request, maintain business records, prevent abuse, or comply with law.
You may delete local information by:
Deleting mood entries;
Deleting journal entries;
Deleting habits;
Removing attached photos or recordings;
Clearing conversation history where the feature is available;
Clearing the App’s storage through Android settings;
Uninstalling the App.

OpenAI, Google, Firebase, AdMob, and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, providers may use recognized safeguards such as contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
By using an online feature, your information may be transmitted internationally as necessary to provide that feature.
