Welcome to HabitGlitch("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. When you use our mobile application, as the case may be (the "App") and more generally, use any of our services (the "Services", which include the App), you trust us with your personal information. We take your privacy very seriously. In this privacy notice, we seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.


This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through our Services (which, as described above, includes our App), as well as any related services, sales, marketing, or events.


2. Information We Collect


2.1 Information You Disclose to Us

*  Voluntary Information: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the App, or otherwise when you contact us.

*  Account Data: If you choose to sign in, we may collect your email address and name provided by the authentication provider (e.g., Google Sign-In) to manage your account and sync your data across devices.

*  Habit Data: The habits you track, your progress logs, and your journal entries. Crucially, this data is stored locally on your device by default. If you sign in, it is encrypted and synced to your private personal cloud storage (Firebase) for backup purposes. We do not access, sell, or analyze your personal habit content.


2.2 Information Automatically Collected

*   Usage Data: We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the App. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our App, and other technical information.

*   Log and Crash Data: Data and log files that are automatically generated when errors occur (via Google Crashlytics). This helps us identify and fix stability issues.

*   Device Data: We collect device data such as information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access the Services. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, Internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system, and system configuration information.


3. How We Use Your Information


We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations.


We use the information we collect or receive:

*   To facilitate account creation and logon process. If you choose to link your account with us to a third-party account (such as your Google account), we use the information you allowed us to collect from those third parties to facilitate account creation and logon process for the performance of the contract.

*   To send you administrative information. We may use your personal information to send you product, service and new feature information and/or information about changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.

*   To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user. We may use your information to provide you with the requested service.

*   To enforce our terms, conditions, and policies for business purposes, to comply with legal and regulatory requirements or in connection with our contract.

*   To respond to legal requests and prevent harm. If we receive a subpoena or other legal request, we may need to inspect the data we hold to determine how to respond.

*   To deliver targeted advertising to you. We may work with third-party advertising networks (Google AdMob) to display advertisements. These partners may use identifiers such as your Advertising ID to show personalized ads.


4. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone?


We only share information with the following categories of third parties:

*   Advertising Networks: Google AdMob.

*   Cloud Computing Services: Google Firebase (for data sync and storage).

*   Data Analytics Services: Google Analytics for Firebase, Google Crashlytics.

*   Performance Monitoring Tools: Sentry (if applicable).


We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.


5. Security of Your Information


We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.


6. Policy for Children


We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13 years of age. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the App. If we learn that personal information from users less than 13 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.


7. Your Privacy Rights


7.1 Account Information

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:

*   Log in to your account settings and update your user account.

*   Use the "Delete Account" feature within the app settings.


Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.


7.2 Opting out of Email Marketing

You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we may send.


7.3 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights, including the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information.


7.4 CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)

If you are a resident of California, you have the right to request access to and deletion of your personal information, and to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. (Note: We do not sell your personal data).


8. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features


Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.


9. Updates to This Policy


We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
