HabitFlow ("we," "us," or "our") is a native Android habit and routine tracker application developed with a strong commitment to user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use HabitFlow (the "App").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Data You Provide Directly
Habit, routine, journal, mood, and achievement data you create and track (e.g., habit names, descriptions, completion history, notes, streaks).
Automatically Collected Data (Local Only – Core App)
The core application is fully offline. All your personal habit data is stored locally on your device using Room database and DataStore. No personal data leaves your device.
Third-Party Services (Planned Integrations)
Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config) and AdMob will be integrated in future updates. When enabled:
Firebase Crashlytics: Collects crash reports, device diagnostics, stack traces, and anonymized identifiers to help us improve stability. This may include limited device information (e.g., device model, OS version) but does not include your habit content.
Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous usage statistics (e.g., feature usage, session duration) to understand how the app is used and improve it.
AdMob: May collect advertising identifiers, IP address (for ad serving and fraud prevention), and interaction data if ads are shown.
These services follow Google's privacy practices. You can manage or limit data sharing through device settings or future in-app options.
No Collection of Sensitive Data
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as health data (beyond self-reported mood/habits), location, contacts, or precise identifiers unless required for notifications (via system permissions).
To provide core habit tracking, statistics, reminders (via WorkManager), and other app features.
To personalize your experience (e.g., themes, streaks, progress).
To send local notifications for reminders (you control this).
To improve the app through crash reports and anonymous analytics (when Firebase is active).
To show relevant ads (if AdMob is enabled) and measure ad performance.
For legal compliance and to protect our rights.
All core functionality remains available offline without any data transmission.
No Selling of Data: We do not sell your personal data.
Third Parties: Data may be shared with Google (via Firebase and AdMob) solely for the purposes outlined above. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Local Storage Only: Your habit data stays on your device. We have no server access to it.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights/safety.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your local data:
Local encryption where applicable (Room/DataStore).
Secure handling of notifications and WorkManager tasks.
However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure.
Access, Correct, Delete: You can view, edit, or delete your habit data directly in the app.
Notifications: Manage reminder permissions in device settings.
Analytics/Ads: Future versions will include options to opt out of Firebase Analytics and personalized ads where possible.
App Uninstall: All local data is deleted when you uninstall the app.
The App is intended for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have such data, contact us to delete it.
The App is designed for global use. Data remains on your device. Third-party services (Google) process data in accordance with their global policies.
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you by posting the new version in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
