What We Look For

We are looking for tutors who are:

• Able to commit to their allocated learners and scheduled lessons

• Has a teaching qualification and SACE registered 

• Willing to provide consistent and high-quality academic support

Commitment Matters

When joining HabHub, we want tutors who are genuinely ready to commit.

We understand that life can become busy, and we value flexibility. However, once you accept learners and commit to a tutoring schedule, consistency and reliability are important.

We carefully match learners with tutors, and therefore tutors should not accept bookings unless they are able to commit to the agreed lessons and schedule.

Tutor Registration Fee

To officially join the HabHub Tutor Community, there is a once-off registration fee of R200.

This is a once-off payment only and is required when joining the community. Once registered, you become part of the HabHub Tutor Community and may be matched with learners and tutoring opportunities according to your subjects, grades and availability.

There are no recurring registration fees. After joining, you remain part of our tutor community and may receive tutoring opportunities as suitable learners become available.

Once you join our tutor community, we aim to make the process as smooth, organised and streamlined as possible.

How HabHub Supports You

We take care of the organisation so that you can focus on teaching.

We help streamline your tutoring experience by:

• Matching you with suitable learners

• Connecting you directly with your assigned learners

• Creating and coordinating tutoring timetables

• Organising lesson days and times

• Providing clear communication channels

• Creating group chats where necessary

• Helping manage tutoring arrangements

• Keeping the process organised and structured

• Coordinating communication between parents, learners and tutors

• Provide you with the teaching materials and resources if requested and available

You focus on delivering quality tutoring — we help manage the structure behind it.

Payment Made Simple

With HabHub, parents pay tutors directly according to the agreed tutoring fee and lesson arrangement.

Tutors keep 75% of the tutoring fees they receive and pay 25% to HabHub at the end of each month for all lessons conducted through HabHub.

For example, if a lesson costs R200:

• Tutor keeps: R150 (75%)

• HabHub receives: R50 (25%)

Tutors are responsible for keeping an accurate record of all lessons and ensuring that HabHub’s 25% share is paid at the end of each month.

This simple payment structure allows tutors to receive their payments directly while maintaining a clear and transparent partnership with HabHub.
