HabitFlow Developer (referred to as "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use HabitFlow (the "App").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying details unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by contacting us via support email).

HabitFlow is designed as a fully offline habit tracker. Your habits, streaks, progress, notes, and all data are stored locally on your device and do not require an internet connection for core functionality.

A. Device Permissions (Local Data Only)

• Notifications — Used to send you habit reminders only if you enable them. You can disable notifications anytime in your device settings.

• Storage — Required only for optional features such as exporting your habit data or creating local backups. We access storage solely for files you explicitly create or select.

• Google Drive Access (Optional) — If you choose to enable cloud backup/restore, the App will request permission to access your own Google Drive account (specifically the files and folders created by HabitFlow). This allows you to securely back up and restore your habit data.

  • Your habit data is uploaded only to your personal Google Drive.

  • We do not have access to your other Google Drive files.

  • You can revoke this access anytime from your Google Account settings.

• Other permissions — May include vibration for reminders or battery optimization exceptions to ensure reliable notifications. No permission is used for tracking or advertising.

B. Non-Personal / Technical Information

We may automatically collect limited, non-personal information only for app improvement and bug fixing:

• Device manufacturer and model

• Android version / OS build

• Anonymized crash reports and basic performance metrics

None of this information can identify you personally.

2. No Third-Party Advertising or Analytics

HabitFlow is completely ad-free.

We do not display advertisements of any kind.

We do not use Google AdMob, Facebook Audience Network, or any other advertising network.

We also do not integrate any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics for Firebase or similar tools) that track user behavior.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we access only for these purposes:

• To provide the core habit tracking functionality (saving your habits, streaks, progress, and reminders locally on your device)

• To enable optional Google Drive backup and restore (only when you explicitly activate this feature)

• To improve app stability and fix crashes using anonymized crash logs

• To send habit reminders only if you have enabled them

Your habit data, streaks, notes, and progress stay 100% under your control. Except for the optional Google Drive backup you initiate yourself, we never upload or share your data with anyone.

Important Note on Google Drive Backup:

When you enable backup, your habit data is stored in your personal Google Drive account. Google handles the security and privacy of your Drive files according to their own Privacy Policy. We do not access or control that data beyond uploading/downloading the backup files you request.

4. Data Security

HabitFlow operates primarily offline. Your habit data remains secure on your device.

For the optional Google Drive backup:

• Data is transferred securely using Google’s authorized APIs.

• We implement reasonable technical measures to protect any non-personal data we temporarily handle (such as anonymized crash logs).

We recommend that you keep your device and Google Account secure.

5. Children’s Privacy

HabitFlow is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with any information, we will delete it immediately.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date.

We recommend checking this page periodically for any changes.
