AWARE

• A POC student group that works to educate fellow students across the state and beyond through presentations about race in relation to the education system. Presenting to a wide audience of educators both teachers and principles at collage conferences over the year.  (Click link to learn more) 

 BUHS Student Council 

• Working to connect students with their administrators and advocate for the every day needs of students. 

Feminist Collective 

• A predominately female identifying group of students dedicated to learn and teach the school about the injustices women face in the world. Hosting fun activities to engage students with their mission, staging protests and learning sessions at assemblies. 

Restorative Justice Panel 

•  once an Incident between two students or a teacher is referred,  a panel of students are empowered to make the decisions on how to handle the incident.

• Restorative: Restore or repair or make right a relationship that was damaged.

• Justice: Treat everyone involved fairly by meeting their needs as much as possible.

• Panel:  2 or3 students who have been trained in the restorative approach or philosophy.
