Learn about our mission, vision, and the team dedicated to advancing interactive education with H5P.
Welcome to our pioneering H5P Library initiative, the first of its kind in Sudan. This project is designed to enhance interactive and engaging learning experiences for students and educators in the field of health professions education. By leveraging the power of H5P, we provide a rich collection of dynamic, customizable learning resources that are accessible to everyone interested in advancing their knowledge and skills.

(June 2025)
We gratefully acknowledge Prof. Abdelmoniem Sahal Elmardi and Dr. Khalid Elamin Awad, Director of the EDC, for their vision, guidance, and unwavering support throughout the development of this initiative. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our colleagues and students for their enthusiasm and valuable feedback, which have helped shape the H5P Library and foster a collaborative learning environment. Their future contributions are highly anticipated as the library continues to grow.
Our H5P library is primarily intended for students in the Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) program, as well as anyone with an interest in this vital field. Whether you are an educator, a student, or a professional seeking innovative learning tools, this library is for you.
The library features a diverse range of H5P content types, including:
· Different quiz types (multiple choice, true/false, drag and drop, etc.)
· Interactive videos
· Fill in the blanks exercises
· Dialog cards for quick review and self-assessment
· And many more interactive formats
These resources are designed to make learning more engaging, effective, and enjoyable.
All questions and answers included in the H5P activities are directly derived from official lecture notes, ensuring that the content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with the curriculum. This approach guarantees high-quality, curriculum-based learning resources that support the achievement of learning objectives.
Setting up the library presented several challenges related to platform limitations and accessibility:
· Moodle Platform Configuration: Not all Moodle installations are immediately ready to accept the creation or upload of H5P content. Some require special administrative settings, such as installing specific plugins or enabling H5P content types, before educators can create or add H5P activities. This can be a barrier for institutions or educators who lack technical support or administrative access.
· Accessibility: Not all learners have consistent access to Moodle, which restricts their ability to use H5P content hosted on the platform.
· User Confidence: Some users are not confident using alternative applications to view H5P files, which limit their engagement with the content.
To address these issues, all H5P activities in the library are now available for direct viewing and interaction online.
For each activity, you will find information about "Rights of use" to help you understand how the content can be utilized or shared. Additionally, an "Embed" option is provided, allowing you to easily integrate H5P activities into your own website or learning platform.
Take advantage of these features to enrich your teaching, learning, or content creation experience.
The library is freely accessible to all interested users. We encourage everyone to explore, use, and even contribute their own H5P products. Our goal is to foster a collaborative and inclusive learning community.
The initiative was first introduced to MHPE Batch 5 students in early 2023. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with students reporting an excellent experience and significant benefits to their learning process.
Our vision is to establish this library as a central, comprehensive platform, a trusted source of high-quality, interactive learning resources for both national and international audiences. We aim to:
· Expand the size and quality of the library
· Encourage collaboration among educators and institutions
· Become a model for innovative educational resource sharing
Currently, collaboration is open to alumni and students of the EDC-U of K, who can contribute by contacting the EDC or their teachers. This initial restriction allows us to gather feedback, refine the process, and ensure the highest standards before opening the initiative to other institutions.
If you have any concerns about the material or a specific H5P activity, please feel free to contact the author of the relevant H5P content, the EDC, or your teachers directly. We are always open to feedback and committed to supporting your learning experience.
You are free to use, adapt, and share this content for non-commercial purposes, provided you give appropriate credit to the H5P author.
This information is also included in the “Rights of Use” section below each H5P activity.
We invite you to join us on this exciting journey to transform health professions education through interactive, accessible, and high-quality learning resources.
