In the past 7-8 weeks, the team interviewed several coffee shop/café owners and took inspiration from likeable qualities identified in the visual assessment of each space. Pictures documenting these spaces can be found in our Research tab. From this information, the team used the SketchUp web application to create 3D renderings of the design we propose for the pre-existing cafeteria and cavana spaces in the H3 Factory.
Pictures of the current/unrenovated space are shown on the right.
Sketched design of final design (version no. 4). Immovable elements are depicted in black ink, proposed elements to be build into the space are portrayed in blue, and movable furniture is denoted with green ink.
3D rendered mock-up of final design (version no. 4). Notable elements include wipe-board paint in the cafeteria (top), miscellaneous furniture for a "home-y" atmosphere, and seating optimization with consideration to entrances and exits.

We are working on building a new, user-friendly website for our sponsor, SerenDPT. Check out our teams progress on the website here!
Our team's website plan provides a series of instructions and guidance on the maintenance of the SerenDPT website. The previous SerenDPT website required a background in programming to update, and this new website, in combination with our website plans, adds to the sustainability of our deliverable, allowing future webmasters to continue using this website beyond the conclusion of our project.
