Welcome to the H20 & Climate Conference 2024!

H2O is essential for all civilizations. Effective planning and efficient management of water resources requires a sound understanding of hydraulics and hydrology. Satisfying the increasing anthropogenic water demands is one of the biggest challenges for sustainable water resources management. Climate change due to anthropogenic activities has compounded the challenge due to time-delayed feedback effects on the hydrology and hydraulics of the watersheds and changes in water cycle. Several of these effects are already being observed in many watersheds, e.g., receding glaciers, perennial rivers turning seasonal, depletion of aquifers, increasing frequency of extreme hydrologic events like storms, floods and droughts, etc.
