Gypsy Moth Spraying / Misting Services
Gypsy Moth Caterpillars (now re-named the Spongy Moth), Army & Eastern Tent Caterpillars (also called larvae) season is HERE... In early spring through mid to late July (sometimes even into August). And boy do these suckers eat.. Gypsy Moths, Army & the Eastern Tent Caterpillars pose a serious threat to trees and shrubs in our area..!!!
These Caterpillars are insatiable eaters. One fully grown caterpillar can eat up to a square foot of tree leaves in just one day. The caterpillars hatch in mid to late April or early May, and climb to the foliage. They spread by spinning a thread and using wind currents to blow them from tree to tree, much like a spider.
We highly suggest that if you have ever had Gypsy Moth or any other caterpillars in the past, or if you see signs of eggs or larvae (caterpillars) that you have your property inspected and treated As Soon As Possible..
