## 1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Gyeote mobile application ("Service"), operated by **MindRoute** ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
---
## 2. Description of Service
Gyeote is a mobile application designed to help users maintain gentle, low-pressure emotional connections. The Service includes:
- **Emotion Check-in**: Daily emotional state recording and tracking. Visible only to you.
- **Constellation**: Small, anonymous groups formed by automatic matching. Nicknames of newly joined members are hidden for the first 7 days.
- **Warmth Exchange**: Sending and receiving short messages of care and support, with a one-tap option for curated phrases or a freeform short line.
- **Presence Awareness**: Knowing that others are with you, without conversation.
- **Daily Sync**: Time-based personalized notifications at the morning / lunch / evening / night times you configure.
- **Quiet Companion**: When your constellation has been silent for an extended period, an automatic message may arrive to indicate that someone is aware of you. This is not a chat partner and does not engage in dialogue.
- **Monthly Reports**: Emotional patterns and warmth exchange history.
---
## 3. User Eligibility and Account
- You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service.
- Account creation requires sign-in via **Sign in with Apple**, **Google Sign-In**, or **Email / Password**. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication; we do not directly store your password.
- Your account is tied to the Apple, Google, or Email credential you signed in with, and may be accessed from multiple devices using the same credential. Your data (constellation membership, emotion check-ins, warmth messages) is preserved across devices.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your authentication credentials. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access caused by your failure to keep them secure.
---
## 4. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Collect, store, or distribute other users' personal information without consent
- Use the Service to cause mental or physical harm to others
- Send illegal, obscene, harassing, or harmful content
- Interfere with the proper operation of the Service
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of the Company or others
---
## 4-bis. Objectionable Content and User-Generated Content
The freeform short-line option in Warmth Exchange may contain user-generated content. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Sexually explicit or suggestive content
- Hate speech, slurs, or content that demeans others on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
- Harassment, threats, intimidation, or content intended to cause emotional distress
- Promotion of self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
- Spam, repeated identical messages, or content unrelated to emotional support
- Personal information (real names, phone numbers, addresses, financial details) of yourself or other users
- Promotion of illegal activities, violence, or dangerous goods
- Impersonation of another user, the Company, or any public figure
The curated preset messages provided by the app are vetted by the Company and are not user-generated content.
---
## 4-ter. Reporting and Mute
- **Report.** You may report any care message or constellation member at any time by long-pressing the care card or member icon and selecting *"Report this care"* / *"Report this person."* You may select a reason (inappropriate content, repeated care, pressuring, or other) and add an optional note. Reports are reviewed by the Company; the reported user is not notified of the report or the reporter's identity.
- **Mute.** You may stop receiving care from any user by long-pressing the care card or member icon and selecting *"Stop receiving care from this person,"* or by submitting a report with the "also stop receiving care" option checked (default on). A muted user's messages will no longer be delivered to you, and you will not be able to send care to that user. You may unmute at any time in *Settings → Muted people*.
- The mute mechanism is unilateral and silent: the muted user is not notified.
---
## 5. Content Ownership
- You retain ownership of any content you create within the Service.
- You are solely responsible for all content you submit or share.
- By using the Service, you grant the Company a non-exclusive license to use your content for service operation and improvement purposes.
---
## 5-bis. Enforcement
- The Company reserves the right to review reported content and accounts.
- After review, the Company may remove individual messages, hide content from other users, or suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate §4 or §4-bis, with or without prior notice.
- The Company does not guarantee a specific response time, but aims to review actionable reports within a reasonable period.
- Decisions are made at the Company's discretion. Repeated or egregious violations may result in immediate termination.
