1. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT (NO PII)

GyanSaathi is designed to be accessible without mandatory accounts:

• No Registration Required: You do not need to provide personal details to access learning material or quizzes.

• No Sensitive Data Collection: We do not collect, read, store, or transmit your name, phone number, email address, physical location, contacts, or financial details.

2. LOCAL APP STORAGE & PROGRESS DATA

• Local Tracking: Your quiz scores, chapter progress, test history, and bookmarked questions are stored locally on your device via Android SharedPreferences.

• Offline Autonomy: This progress data never leaves your device and is never uploaded to any remote server or database.

• User Control & Deletion: You can permanently erase all local learning records anytime by clicking "रीसेट करें" in the Progress Report dialog, or via your phone Settings > Apps > GyanSaathi > Clear Storage.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & ADVERTISING (ADMOB)

To keep all notes, tests, and study materials 100% free for students, GyanSaathi uses Google AdMob (Google LLC) to serve advertisements.

Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-personal data for ad delivery, analytics, and fraud prevention:

• Device & Other Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (AAID) and basic device specifications.

• Diagnostics & Performance: Crash logs, diagnostic metrics, and ad interaction data.

• Encryption: All data transmitted by Google Play Services and AdMob is encrypted in transit using secure HTTPS protocols.

How to Control Ad Personalization:

You have complete control over personalized advertising. You can reset or opt-out of ad personalization directly from your Android device:

Settings > Google > Ads > Delete or Reset Advertising ID.

4. APP PERMISSIONS

GyanSaathi requests only minimal, standard permissions:

• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required solely to load third-party AdMob advertisements and verify network connectivity.

• We do NOT request permissions for Camera, Microphone, Read/Write External Storage, Location, Phone, or SMS.

5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (COPPA & FAMILIES POLICY)

• Target Audience: GyanSaathi is tailored for secondary/higher secondary students, college candidates, and adults (aged 13 and above) preparing for competitive examinations.

• We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.

Because we do not operate external member databases, your personal data is not exposed to online server breaches. Any procedural updates to this policy will be posted directly within this app section.
