Chapter S
Jane Brinck was one of our most devoted members. She loved to ride, no matter where the group was going. Over the years she has traveled to places all across America. She took her last ride on March 25th when she went home to be with her loved ones who had gone before her, her two sisters Mary Popowski and Barbara Trame, and her daughter Sally Cairns. Over the last few years, she has traveled many miles to check on her loved ones and help them any way she could. She was a devoted mother and sister. Even when she was not feeling well herself, she focused on their needs.
When she was able to come back to Chapter "S", she always looked forward to riding with her chapter family. She stopped riding so much at night, but she rode during the day. On the day of her last chapter ride, she told Tom that she would ride anytime if he would get her home before dark. Her Harley Davidson was her only means of transportation when her daughter was at work, but she never let that stop her from hopping on the bike to ride the country roads or run small errands.
Her smile lit up the meeting room when she came in, for she had a natural smile. She was always positive and she never let the challenges of the day get her down. She would try just about anything if she was challenged to do it. She never let her age or her health bother her. She was an eternal optimist.
Recently when she was chosen as the Individual of the Year for 2021, her expression said it all. She was unexpectedly excited.
She was making plans to put a hitch on her trike so she could pull her trailer with her camping equipment. She wanted to continue to camp out with the chapter.
Because of her dedication to the chapter, she will certainly be missed by everyone in our chapter family and the people she knew within the Gold Wing family.
