The Gwinnett Asian American Student Association is a student-led organization based in Gwinnett County, Georgia. We are dedicated to spreading Asian culture and awareness among our communities.
Along with our events, each school's AASA will host monthly meetings where volunteer opportunities, school events, and other occasions will be discussed. Currently, AASA is shifiting towards highlighting more Asian cultures and issues.
Currently, we have 9 schools that are part of GAASA. They are: Berkmar, Brookwood, Central Gwinnett, Collins Hill, Discovery, Meadowcreek, Mill Creek, Parkview, and North Gwinnett. If your school does not have a chapter, feel free to contact us to see how you can get one started!
No! GAASA invites everyone to join AASA.
Each school's chapter has an interest meeting at the beginning of the year where you can sign up then. Contact your school's chapter for more info!
Yes and no. At certain events like Field Day and Banquet, food is included in the admission fee. Other events such as Foodie Friday require members to buy their own food, with a part of the proceeds returning directly to AASA, but many of our chapters provide free food at monthly meetings!
