Gwendolyn Moore

According to The Mar 29, 1979 edition of the Baltimore Sun, the body of a woman who had been stabbled to death and lef in a wooded area off of the 3500 block of Gelston Drive was identified as Gwendolyn Moore, 23, who had been in Baltimore for a few days to visit cousins living on Marble Hall Road.   She was a divorced mother of a 5 year old son who lived with her parents on Madison Avenue in New York City.


She had died of multiple stab wounds to the face and chest sometime during the previous night. Relatives told the police she had been last seen the provious evening at Mount Holly Street and Edmondson Avenue, a few blocks from where the body was recovered.   Detectives had not determined a  motive for the stabbing.
