Main Objective 

The primary objective of these workshops is to facilitate cooperation in sustainable finance research, with a specific emphasis on creating opportunities for interdisciplinary research collaboration and initiating joint funding proposals. 

Overview

To foster the transition towards net-zero emissions in the UK, the “GW4 Sustainable Finance Network” will be established as a pioneering academic collaboration between four universities in GW4, dedicated to integrating sustainable finance principles in the core of financial decision-making. This initiative aims to unite key players across sectors, e.g., academia, industry, local communities, and government. Through seminars, workshops, and collaborative research, the network will facilitate academic collaboration in the field of sustainable finance, promote sustainable investment strategies, and work to develop innovative green finance tools. It aims to shape policy frameworks that support the transition towards a sustainable economy.
