Grand Valley State University
Asian Student Union at GVSU is a student-led organization dedicated to celebrating and uplifting Asian cultures, identities, and experiences. We provide a welcoming community where students of all backgrounds can connect, learn, and grow together. ASU fosters cultural awareness, promotes inclusivity, and encourages dialogue through educational events, social gatherings, and collaborative initiatives.
What We Do:
Cultural Celebration: Host events that highlight the rich traditions, histories, and diversity across Asian cultures.
Community Building: Create safe, supportive spaces for students to share experiences, build friendships, and find belonging.
Collaboration: Partner with other student organizations to encourage unity, representation, and cross-cultural exchange.
ASU is a place for connection, empowerment, and celebration—open to all who wish to learn, participate, and make a positive impact.

After careful consideration and extensive planning, we regret to announce the postponement of the Asian New Year Festival. While we had many exciting plans and aspirations for this event, unforeseen challenges prevented us from moving forward as intended. This decision was not made lightly.
Please know that we remain deeply committed to celebrating and uplifting our Asian community, and we are continuing to work diligently to develop a new event in the future. We appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support, and we encourage you to keep an eye out for updates as we move forward.
