We are an Apostolic, Bible-believing church firmly rooted in the truth of God’s Word. We believe in the absolute Oneness of God, that there is one God who has revealed Himself fully in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus is not a second person, but the visible manifestation of the one true God, the fullness of the Godhead dwelling bodily.
We believe that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. The gospel message, as preached by the apostles in the New Testament, is not complicated. It is clear, powerful, and life-changing. According to Scripture, the biblical plan of salvation includes repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.
We believe repentance is more than just feeling sorry, it is a complete turning away from sin and a turning toward God with a surrendered heart. Baptism in Jesus’ name is essential, not symbolic alone, but a necessary step of obedience where sins are washed away. The infilling of the Holy Ghost is a supernatural experience available to every believer, empowering them to live a victorious, Spirit-led life.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our final authority for faith and practice. Every doctrine, every standard, and every teaching must align with Scripture.
We believe in living a life of holiness, not as a means of earning salvation, but as a response to it. As God transforms us from the inside out, our lives begin to reflect His nature in our actions, attitudes, and lifestyle. Holiness is not bondage—it is separation unto God and evidence of a life changed by His Spirit.
We believe the church is the body of Christ, called to reach the lost, disciple believers, and demonstrate the power of God in the earth. Our mission is to preach truth, love people, and see lives transformed by the power of the Holy Ghost.
Gila Valley Pentecostal Church was established with a simple but powerful mission: to bring the truth of God’s Word to the Gila Valley and to see lives transformed by the power of the Holy Ghost. What began as a burden for revival and a desire to reach souls has grown into a church committed to Apostolic doctrine, passionate worship, and biblical preaching.
From its early days, GVPC has stood firmly on the foundation of the apostles’ doctrine preaching repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Through seasons of growth, challenges, and breakthrough, God has remained faithful, adding to the church those who are hungry for truth.
Over the years, GVPC has become more than just a place of worship it has become a family. A place where broken lives are restored, where people encounter the presence of God, and where believers are equipped to live for Him daily.
Today, we continue to look forward with vision and expectation, believing that the same God who has moved in the past is still working today. Our prayer is that GVPC will remain a lighthouse in the Gila Valley shining truth, reaching souls, and impacting generations to come.
