Scholarship

Any student planning to attend college as a music major may audition for the GVSMA scholarship.  Students may audition as a vocalist or instrumentalist.  A prize of $500 is awarded to the winner in each category.  When the prize winners complete their first semester of music school they  are required to send a copy of their transcript to the GVSMA Treasurer.  Prize money will be awarded at that time.

Guidelines:

a) Student must successfully complete musical studies in an accredited college music program.

b) Full time status of 12 credit hours (minimum).

c) An average grade of “B” (3.0) or better in all music classes.

d) An overall GPA of “C” (2.0).
