BELIEFS

STATEMENT OF FAITH

1.       We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures are inspired word of God that is the complete revelation of God for the salvation of men and is the final authority of every believer’s faith and life. - 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:20-25. We use King James Bible.

2.       We believe in one God, the creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. - Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:26; John 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19

3.       We believe that Jesus Christ is a true God and was made flesh, as a man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and through a virgin Mary. Given as a gift of God as a sacrifice, payment, and substitute for our sins through the death on the cross, was buried, and on the third day rose again from the dead, then ascended to heaven and is sitting in the right hand of the Majesty on high, according to the Scriptures. He is our High Priest and Advocate

a.       A True God and a true man (was made flesh) - John 1:1,14

b.       Through a virgin birth - Matthew 1,18-23

c.       Died as a sacrifice as payment of our sins - Romans 6:23, John 3:16, John 10:15

d.       Died on the cross, was buried and on the third day rose again from the dead - 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:24-25, 1 Corinthians 15:1-

e.       Sitting on the right hand of the Majesty on High - Acts 1:9-11, Psalms 110:1, Hebrews 1:3

f.        And is our High Priest and Advocate -Hebrews 4:14; 1 John 2:1

4.       We believe that the Holy Spirit is our comforter. Whose ministry is to glory the Lord Jesus Christ, convicting men of their sins and changing the believing sinner by indwelling, guiding, instructing, and empowering them for godly living and service.

a.       Our Comforter is the 3rd person of the trinity - John 14:16,26; 15:26; 16:7-11;

b.       We are sealed - Ephesians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 3:16;

c.       Empowers our moral improvement to become more like Christ – 2 Corinthians 3:18

d.       Leads and intercedes for us - Romans 8:14,26

5.       We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is lost, yet, can obtain salvation through being born from above by the Holy Spirit, that is by believing which leads to accepting the LORD Jesus Christ.

a.       God created us to manage - Genesis 1:26

b.       Through sin, death is passed unto all men - Romans 5:12

c.       There is no righteous, no, not one – Romans 3:10, 23

d.       Payment of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord – Romans 6:23

e.       As it is NOT of ourselves, nor our works, we are saved - Ephesians 2:2-9

f.        We are born again through believing, passing from death to life - John 3:3,5,16; John 5:24

6.       We believe in the eternal Security of the believer - John 10:28-29; Ephesians 1:13

7.       We believe and comply to the two Ordinances from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
