Personal Statement

I am a chemical engineer with extensive experience in physics & high-performance computing focused on advancing organic optoelectronics - especially OLED device physics, light-extraction, and display-system performance - as well as molecular dynamics of polyalkanes, polyether & polysilicone materials in mixed solvents (water and one of methanol, ethanol, and isopropanol).

I enjoy collaborating at the intersection of chemistry, physics, engineering, materials, electromagnetics, and computational science areas — and I bring an IP-savvy lens to identifying what is truly novel and scalable.

Looking ahead, my goals are to use insights from first principles to guide designs in solving engineering problems using analytics, theory, and modelling, combined with high-performance computing systems, to make an impact in the chemical industrial space using intellectual property knowledge gained as a long-time Patent Examiner in the United States.

Ideally, I would like to assist in delivering the next generation of high-efficiency, high-quality OLED lighting and display solutions by combining disciplined modeling (from geometrical optics to EM simulations) with materials innovation and manufacturable stack designs.

However, at this time, I am looking for my next opportunity to make a significant impact and I understand that might come from an unexpected and unpredicted opportunity that I cannot anticipate.

I am open to all leads at present and have learned to "leave no stone unturned".
