Augustín Aldama (AJ)

(They/Them) AJ is an aspiring writer, with a nascent love of theatre and an enthusiastic curiosity regarding its inner workings. They are currently studying writing and art history at University of Victoria, which compliments their love of fiction and interractive narratives, as well their affection for deep dives into seemingly niche-subjects.

Kaitlyn Alderson

(She/Her) Kaityn is in her final year of studies at the University of Victoria pursuing a double major in Writing and Theatre. She is passionate about Stage Management, Playwriting, Screenwriting, and Technical Production. Her stage and production management credits include The Birds (Pacific Opera Victoria), As You Like It (Greater Victoria Shakespeare Festival), Shakespeare’s Women (Phoenix Theatre), and Reset (SATCo). She feels so honored to be able to work with such a wonderful group of people at GutPunch Theatre!

Jasper Mallette

(They/He) Jasper fell in love with playwriting while producing his script Straw with UVic’s SATCo. They describe themself as a playwright who dabbles in screenwriting. He is in his fourth year of a writing degree with a minor in film at UVic. They are thrilled to be a part of GutPunch theatre, and they can’t wait to produce more work in the future!

Eliza Musselwhite

(They/She) Eliza is a multi-genre writer, and director who strives to create works that contain humour and heart while engaging with the darker sides of life. She’s written and produced two original musicals (Rounding the Bend and #MannequinGirl: The Musical) which played at the Toronto Fringe Festival, as well two cabaret’s as part of the 120 Diner’s Sunday Cabaret Series. As a current creative writing student at the University of Victoria, their first Creative Non-Fiction piece “Dying Angry” was published in This Side of West’s 19th Issue.

Sophie de Kergommeaux

(She/Her) Sophie is a fourth year BFA student at UVIC majoring in Writing with a minor in Film Studies. She writes both for screen and stage. Sophie’s short film Purple was shown at the 2021 Vancouver Queer Film Festival and her stage play Weightless was performed by SATCO Jan 2023.

August Kirste-Yee

(He/Him) August is an avid creator and consumer of stories. He enjoys creating in as many forms as possible—with words, paint, a drum kit, or whatever else he can get his hands on. If he’s not reading, he can be found on a rock-climbing wall or a snowboard. He is excited by the collaborative writing style of Infinity Gardens and loves being a part of a play he never would’ve come up with on his own.

Lara Mullings

(She/They) Lara is a British-Canadian Artist living on the traditional stolen territories of the Songhees and Esquimalt nations. Hailing from a performance-centered background, she also holds a great interest in all types of artistic creation. Lara has also been working as a theatre educator for six years and has partaken in a variety of creative roles including directing, design and management. She hopes you enjoy the show! 

Laura Wallace

(She/Her) Laura is studying both psychology and creative writing at the University of Victoria. She enjoys writing about mental health and is passionate about live theatre. She admires the connection and engagement involved in stageplay. Laura is glad to be apart of the student collective known as GutPunch Theatre. 

Daria Bester

(She/Her) Daria is doing a double major of English and writing and is in her 4th year at UVic.  She is a playwright and a fiction writer.  Daria often writes from experience and aims to reach audiences on an emotional level.  She writes for people like her, people that have trouble making connections, knowing they are loved, question too hard, and don't quite fit.  She looks forward to having this piece staged.

Molly Hughes

(She/Her) Molly is an artist who enjoys playwriting and video game writing. If the COVID-19 pandemic never happened, Molly would have been a math and physics major at the University of Toronto (aka death), but here she is at the University of Victoria for playwriting. Molly is now interested in exploring theatre creation, since she does not have much experience in the field.

Elena Audrey Mae

(She/Her) Elena is a storyteller, a soup-maker, and a people-lover. She is a student of the mind and heart in both psychology and writing at the University of Victoria, but she has also studied theatre creation at Red Deer College and acting at the William Esper Studio in New York City. She is grateful to be on the wild ride that is Infinity Gardens and for GutPunch, delighting her senses at every turn.
