I got my B.Sc. in Molecular Sciences from the University of São Paulo in 2017. Back then, I did research in systems biology and bioinformatics - mostly with transcriptomics data. Then, I decided I could do with more maths, so my master's degree was in applied mathematics (finished it in 2019, also with the University of São Paulo). That led me to learn about Julia sets, and thus I shifted my research towards dynamical systems and the iteration of meromorphic functions (I still have a huge soft spot for systems biology).
I finished my PhD in 2023 under the supervision of Phil Rippon and Gwyneth Stallard, at the Open University. After that, I held an LMS Early Career Fellowship at Imperial College London under Sebastian van Strien, and had a brief stint at the University of Liverpool working with Lasse Rempe. Right now, I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica in Barcelona, working under Núria Fagella.
