Ugh indeed...I'm glad to see that none of the "NEW and ENHANCED!" compressed audio formats managed to dethrone the good old DRM-less MP3, especially not WMA.

None of them really offered superior performance for the same bitrate: there are several tests that show that, even .ogg @ the same bitrate with MP3 actually trades off some frequency response accuracy vs precision, while the old myth about 64 kbps WMA = 128 kbps MP3 is total bullshit, unless you're using a really broken/old MP3 encoder.

Plus, only MP3 (not MP3 Pro) and .OGG (?) are really free from the DRM plague.

About the song: sounds like a bunch of teens trying to sing about Doom like they would sing for a high school prom :-) Cute, but it doesn't have that "Die-Know-Might! I'm cooking with gas!" feeling you'd expect from a song about Doom..

itunes converts WMA's if you try and put them on it I think. I can't really remember but I'm sure they do because on my iPod I've got songs that are WMA on my computer. So I assume iTunes converted them for me.

And, the song's alright. It's not bad or anything, but it should try to ditch the indie singing and make it more heavy. There's a scream and shout band I like called Job for a Cowboy, a lot of their songs and albums are named after doom and it's episodes. Their music suits it well I think.

Checked it out, he (manny charlton) was 54 then, started his career in the 50'ties and released a new album. (Americana Deluxe)

With my general idea in mind, The Magic Man began playing various riffs for me, doing his best to create something special. I swear it was only after trying three riffs he hit it exactly as I wanted and the opening riff for Hang Loose was created. We quickly recorded that riff while it was fresh in our minds and we were off and running! With the opening riff in place, The Magic Man built an amazing arrangement around my song that was perfect for my lyrics and the fast driving tempo.

With the arrangement in place, the next step was to lay down the vocals in the tracking room, which took us about three days. We then dropped in the vocals, added cool effects, and layered them by paralleling many of the verses with my daughter Andreana singing background vocals. It took us at least three days of studio time to polish and perfect this song and it was almost ready to send off to the mixing engineer for equalizing. But we needed to add in a unique opening to the song that would brand it for eternity.

The cast of Guru often breaks into song and dance when a significant prelude to a point of tension or change in the plot is reached, something characteristic of a Bollywood movie, and each break provides an important transition to the next part of the film.

The cast of Guru often break into song and dance just before a significant plot point is to occur, something characteristic of a Bollywood movie in the 2007-2008 era, and each one of these breaks helps to form a bridge that connects useful established information with what is to come.

The song is about 'God', or as Marc himself said; "Is a festival of life song. I relate 'Metal Guru' to all Gods around. I believe in a God, but I have no religion. With 'Metal Guru', it's like someone special, it must be a Godhead. I thought how God would be, he'd be all alone without a telephone. I don't answer the phone any more. I have codes where people ring me at certain times."

Bolan's songs have a lot of inner meaning. It just depends on what kind of meaning you seek. This song is not about cars neither drugs - these are all superficial things. It's about love actually. About his dream of love... That he will be clean because you know - pollution machine, with time passing your mind gets a little dirty, that's how it works, this pollution machine which is life. But he hopes that he will be clean some day, that something good will happen and he'll be understood. That's the meaning, as simple as that.

Maybe it's about a guy's expectation that having a car will reel in babes. I dunno. Seems most T Rex lyrics have miniminal "meaning", yet maximum impact. Lyrics as beautiful as they are enigmatic. Some people might accuse Bolan of style over substance, but I think that, in his case, style is substance. One of the best songwriters ever!!! Brilliant man, brilliant band.

Certainly brought a heavy rock sound to an 11 year old kid when released. From then on, I just assumed he was a heavy metal guru - absurd, but to a kid who listened to the radio & had not heard anything as heavy on pop radio. We are talking radio 1 in the UK in the early 70's - I did not know what heavy metal was!!

The legendary engineer shared a video on Instagram on Saturday (February 25) that showed a man creating a song from scratch using a Kendrick Lamar voice filter. The man briefly displayed how the filter changed his voice to sound exactly like K. Dot and proceeded to record an actual song that sounded like something the rapper would make.

The mega-producer and Verzuz co-creator was bursting with Christmas Day excitement while introducing the song on IG ... and boldly tagged Jay-Z's engineer Young Guru, who's been one of AI's biggest opponents.

A new AI-generated song using a Kendrick Lamar voice filter has Young Guru concerned. The legendary producer shared a viral clip of a man using an AI-generated Kendrick Lamar voice filter to create a song that's a pretty spot on replica of the Compton rapper's voice.

That the ground of basic renunciation and individual liberation

Is not spoiled by the swamp of involvement with young maidens,

And that this child is not now surrounded by illegitimate offspring

Is due to your kindness, protector guru, lord of sages.

With the Grammy eligibility window wrapping up soon there's been a lot of discussion of the potential favorites and dark horse candidates for all the major awards. But snuck into the mix was a news story that surprised many fans and began dividing people online. "heart on my sleeve" is a song made by an artist called ghostwriter earlier this year. The track became controversial for using AI-generated versions of Drake and The Weeknd's voices on the song. Surprisingly, the song was submitted for consideration for next year's Grammy Awards. And perhaps even more surprisingly, it was deemed eligible.

Fans online had a variety of reactions to the news, but many from within the music industry are taking issue with the song's award status. One of those is Young Guru who has warned fans about the future of AI music more than anybody. He first made a declaration about the dangers of the technology back in February when an AI-generated Kendrick Lamar track emerged. He described the song as groundbreaking but dangerous moment" before many others were even talking about the potential future implications of AI.

With the breaking news of an AI song potentially being able to win a Grammy, Guru took to his story. "Hate to say I told y'all but I told y'all. Now this could be up for a Grammy. SMH," he said over a screenshot of the news. What do you think of Young Guru's claiming he warned everyone about AI music? Let us know in the comment section below.

Malaika keeps busy with her yoga studio when she is not playing a judge on a talent hunt or dance reality shows. Last year, Malaika made her OTT debut with her own reality series, Moving in With Malaika, which showed her talking about various aspects of her life from her divorce with ex-husband Arbaaz Khan, co-paring song Arhaan Khan and being trolled for dating Arjun Kapoor.

[Yeah], no thought process. Just playing and recording everything, of course. And then I will listen back to it, and like okay, this part of this playfulness is gonna become a song. But the song is almost already there, it's just like or it's just coming to me. Not when I'm in the studio, it can come just for example; I'm hanging out here and there's a melody coming to my head and that's gonna become the song.

Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly" single warmed our hearts when it debuted in 2007, and in true Gen Z fashion, it reemerged thanks to a meme trend. TikTok users placed the song over high-energy performance videos like those of Travis Scott, Justin Bieber and Tyler, The Creator which made for a hilarious juxtaposition. Caillat kept the momentum by making TikTok duets and even sharing an acoustic version of the song on her YouTube page.

Bridgit Mendler's 2013 single "Hurricane" also got a second wind for its 10th anniversary where female users placed it over humorous self-deprecating videos about being delusional over men. Jessie J's 2011 "Price Tag" hit sparked a dance trend with a sped-up version of the song and Lana Del Rey's "Radio" (a deep cut from 2012's Born To Die debut) inspired users to make videos that showcased how "sweet like cinnamon" their lives are. e24fc04721
