Gurmeet Kaur, Ph.D.

Hello and thanks for visiting my webpage. 

I am a Lead Data Scientist at Corteva Agriscience, USA. I was previously a research fellow in the group of Dr. L. Aravind at the Computational Biology Branch (CBB), National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. 

Before joining NIH, I graduated with a Ph.D. degree in life sciences from CSIR-IMTECH, Chandigarh, India and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.

I am a computational biologist and specialize in evolutionary analysis of biomolecules, particularly proteins, taking cues from various evidence to help understand how biological pathways and functions emerge and evolve. My research is analogous to leading a CID operation that too involves solving a crime scene by means of collecting and studying various evidence. Thank you for taking out time to read about me!
