Custom built instrument to stretch cells on elastomeric substrates, both uniaxially and biaxially. The instrument contains bioreactor with four actuators which are displacement controlled.

This instrument is custom built for testing soft materials in tensile mode (bi-axial) with Exlar actuators, temperature controlled water bath and submersible load cells. The instrument works in both displacement and load control modes.

Bose Electroforce 3200 is used to test the viscoelastic properties of polymers and tissues. Highly sensitive transducers allow for measurement of forces in the milli-Newton range and displacements in the micron range. 

The DMI 6000 inverted fluorescence microscope, fully motorized with AFC, enables real-time observation and recording of cells in fluorescence and bright field modes. Its motorization and AFC facilitate multipoint, time-lapse imaging, significantly reducing data collection time. 

The device can simultaneously be used to stretch cylindrical tubes of specimens, such as arteries, and cycle/ maintain pressure in the tube through a comparator circuit.

The instrument routinely used for drying of biological and polymer materials.

The instrument consists of UV lamp and vaccum chamber, it is used to activate surfaces
