About Me:

I am Gul Hassan, I hail from Orakzai Agency, Pakistan, one of the most beautiful and mystique places in the country. Once I obtained my 10^th grade and 12^th grade qualification from Al Asar Academy Usretzai Payan Kohat, I opted to travel far south and join DUET Karachi, partly to satisfy my thirst for knowledge and partly to expand my thinking horizon by traveling. This happened to be the milestone which change my life and pushed me to pursue a path of research.

During my undergraduate studies in electronic engineering, from Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi Pakistan I came to know about the miniscule electronic circuits and devices, and amazed by their potential as game changing technologies. Hence I decided to complete my higher education in this field. So to realize my dreams, I joined the Jeju National University in 2014 for PhD (Master leading to PhD) by affiliating myself with a professor whose research focus was on the solution processed 2D materials based electronic devices.

I worked as Post-Doctoral research fellow in one of the world esteemed University, namely Hanyang University Seoul South Korea, where i did research in solution processed 2D materials as well as vacuum process thin film devices. After joining Hanyang University, I additionally gained the expertise in vacuum based thin film deposition (like sputter deposition and atomic layer deposition) and characterization for their application in semiconductor devices. I believe that my research experience during PhD and working as Post-Doctoral fellow have strengthened my knowledge more in 2D and 3D materials synthesis their characterization and its application in electronic devices and sensors.

Presently I am working as an Assistant Professor in International Islamic University, Islamabad Pakistan. Here we have a best research lab called Center for Advanced Electronics and Photovoltaic Engineering, where we are working on design and fabrication of smart sensors and devices.
