HIV molecular virology, epidemiology and bioinformatics
Dr. Guinevere Lee, PhD
Dr. Guinevere Q. Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, New York. The Lee lab studies global HIV genetic diversity and its impact on disease progression, treatment outcomes and on curative interventions. Our research program has three main arms: (1) HIV molecular epidemiology, with a focus on drug resistance and its association in clinical outcomes especially in non-B subtype HIV-1, (2) HIV proviral DNA and transcriptome RNA intra- and interhost genetic diversity and their implications in HIV cure research, (3) deep sequencing assay and bioinformatics pipeline development to capture viral diversity.
We are located at the Belfer Research Building, Weill Cornell Medicine, Upper East Side, Manhattan, New York.
