Biography
I hold a PhD in Political Science at the University of São Paulo (DCP/USP). I am a researcher at the Center for Metropolitan Studies (CEM/USP/CEBRAP/FAPESP), an associate researcher at the City Infrastructure Equity Lab (CIEL/MIT), and the Territorial Justice Laboratory (LabJuta/UFABC). I am also an associate editor at Leviathan.
Between November 2023 and July 2024, I was a visiting researcher at the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (DUSP/ MIT), and a fellow at the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research Foundation (IJURR).
My main subject is the political economy of cities. I research urban policies and inequalities with a focus on the relationship between public finance, urban planning, and housing policies.
I also have experience as an assistant researcher at the University of Ultrech, as a researcher at the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP), as Director of Management Strengthening Department at the General Comptroller Office of São Paulo's Municipality (CGM/PMSP) and as an exchange student at the Institut d'Études Politiques - SciencePo Lyon.
