Halflings were considered an abomination to society and often treated like they were scum. In 5200, Waerea became the first kingdom to legalise love between species. There were 2 reasons for this desicion; one was that Queen Holly (the Queen of Waerea) is a halfling herself. The second reason was that she had a child with another halfling (Prince Xaevier). Almost immediently after, the King and Queen of Adreoven (Queen Keeva and King Ifasa) also legalised it. In 5201, Sorin also legalised it, after seeing the success it had from Adreoven and Waerea, and also because the ruler of Sorin (Alaina Tarsyra) is friends with a few halflings.
