Modeling a Can-Do Mindset

• Convey a message that though the course content is challenging, we are capable of doing hard things.

• Be explicit in sharing that students can gain knowledge and achieve the learning outcomes by engaging in the course processes and trusting themselves, their peers, and the professor.

• Provide artifacts from past courses, such as successful final projects, advice from past students, and student testimonials (written and/or video) to demonstate that other students have gone through the course successfully so they can do it too.
